helpwildlife.co.uk provides advice on what to do if you find a sick, injured or abandoned wild bird or animal

HelpWildlife.co.uk is a charity-run site aiming to provide advice to members of the public who find wildlife casualties, help casualty finders to locate a wildlife rescue in their area, and provide advice on humane, holistic methods of wildlife management.

You can help by:-

  • Adding a rescue to our directory, or claiming an existing listing.
    If you know of a rescue not in our directory, let us know so we can get in touch. If your rescue is already listed, you can claim the listing and maintain it yourself to ensure the details are kept up to date. Click here for more details
  • Sign up to be a Community Hero
    Community Heroes are small volume wildlife carers, wildlife friendly vets, and members of the public who can help transport casualties to rescue. There’s more information and a sign up form here.
  • Contribute to our advice articles
    If you’re involved in wildlife rescue, you could contribute an article to raise awareness about an wildlife issue. Or, if you spot any gaps in existing articles, get in touch and let us know.
  • Provide advice in our group
    We need more rescuers to help out in our Facebook advice group, providing individual advice to casualty finders in need of support
  • Help us maintain our directory
    We’re always in need of volunteers to help check our listings are correct and search for missing rescues to add. Be warned – it’s not very exciting work but it is absolutely vital in helping to get casualties to rescue ASAP
  • Leave feedback
