My family and I would like to express our sincere thanks to Kate & her partner. This afternoon we called them because we had an injured mummy blackbird who was in a bad state and had chicks and a nest in the beech hedge. They told us they would be with us in ten minutes, true to there word they came to us, having to stop on the way to a injured bird with a broken wing on the side of the road, which they had to try to catch! (they caught him,he was in the back of the car). They then spent ages to source the blackbird mum’s nest, so they could look after them as well. They got a nest of four healthy fledglings and hopefully the mum will be ok to.

Our volunteers work hard to keep these listings up to date but your help with this is very much needed and appreciated. We rely on YOUR feedback to keep this information up to date so please leave a comment below to let us know whether the contact details are correct and whether the rescue could help with the species you contacted them about. Please

- stick to factual comments - the aim of this site is not to review how ‘good’ a rescue is and comments which are purely opinion based may not be approved.

- DO NOT use the comments box to try and send a message to the rescue - this is a directory site and independent from the rescue listed. If you wish to contact the rescue please use the contact information provided above.

- DO NOT comment seeking advice about a casualty as your question may not be seen quickly. If you need advice about a bird or animal please telephone the rescue directly using the contact details listed above.
