Phoned Hedgehog Care this evening and got advice on how to deal with a nestling that had fallen out of a nest. The lady that I spoke to was very helpful,l and advised on how, and what to feed. A few hours had elapsed since I had found him. However, after doing a mad dash to Tesco for the ingredients feeding commenced. My partner is an RGN nurse so took over the feeding duties The little mite eat well and then settled down. That was not long ago. Hopefully he will still be with us in the morning. The advice was excellent and I would highly recommend this site.

Phoned Hedgehog Care this morning after two days of trying to get help from RSPCA, Wildlife helplines in our area, RSPB,all answer phones, I was so relieved to speak to the very knowledgable and helpful lady who was such a help in advising me how best to treat an innnjured bird in our garden. Thank you so much, I now know how to judge what is the best thing to do by monitoring various signs and can be confident that now I can carry on and do the best I can do.

I found a small hedgehog in my garden and was directed to this site by St Tiggywinkles. Paula could not have been more helpful, advised me to take him to the vet and get vaccinations against worms, and that he was too small to survive hibernation. She arranged to meet me in a mutually convenient location and took him to be looked after. I wish her, and the hog, well.
